Baby On Board

It's true...Bert and I are expecting! We are very excited to announce that we are expecting a little one on June 18. We find out next month if it's a boy or a girl...I am very excited about that!

So far, so good. I am over 15 weeks, so I feel pretty good...past the first trimester, which is nice. I had some nausea, but was not sick. I caught an awful stomach virus at the very beginning of my pregnancy, which was awful...but after that, things have been good.

I look just the same...I can wear all my regular clothes except my smallest jeans. I had my glory day in a single size for just a moment! You can't tell I'm pregnant yet, and my doctor says it will be after 20 weeks, so I still have a little while before that.

Anyway, it's all very exciting and I promise to keep you informed without making you look at my ultrasound pictures. :)

Marathon Man

I am so proud of Bert for finishing the Charlotte Thunder Road Marathon in 3:51:23 . He definitely surpassed his goal of finishing the 26.2 miles in under 4 hours. So proud! We went with good friends, and my friend Emily also finished the marathon in under 4 hours. Great weekend...great accomplishment!

Day 13 - Goals

So, today, I am supposed to share my goals. Clearly I am forgetting some, but here goes what comes to mind:

1. Pray more.
2. Keep my weight under control.
3. Make sure my husband and parents and others that are super close to me know what they mean to me.
4. Continue on this path of recognizing blessings and being thankful.
5. Potentially rock some jeggings. Or maybe not. Hmm.

And I think I've decided to be done with this 30 day thing. :)

Day 12 - I Believe

I believe...

That all we really leave behind on this Earth is the way we made other people feel.
That God is infinitely good and has worked miracles in my life.
That God is the only one who can judge. Period. End of story.
That family is what's most important.
That my successes wouldn't be a fraction as sweet if I didn't have someone to share them with.

Day 11 - Fave TV Shows

So I have a love/hate relationship with TV. I only like it in small doses. I married a man who loves his sports and news and we have finally compromised because I cannot stand the TV serving as background noise.

Anyway, I believe in my heart I could get rid of the TV, but alas, it's not going to happen. I might as well enjoy my guilty pleasures!
